(WPG) THE WALL-PAINTINGS IN THE KATHOLIKON of The Holy Monastery of Saint Gregorios (Grigoriou) of Mt. Athos.  Originally founded in the early 14th century, the monastery was destroyed several times by fire, the last renovation being in the latter 18th century when the katholikon was frescoed by the Kastorian painters Hieromonk Gavriil and Gregorios in Byzantine style.
